CNRS Research Director (DR2), CerCo (CNRS-UT3)
- Head of C3P Team CerCo
I’m a CNRS Research Director at Cerco, head of the C3P team (Crossmodal Compensation and cortical Plasticity). I obtained my PhD in Marc Jeannerod laboratory in Lyon in 1989. Following 2 post-doc in USA and France, I obtained in 1996 a CNRS position in the Inserm laboratory of H. Kennedy before joining the CerCo lab in 2001. My research focuses on the neuronal processing of multisensory integration and crossmodal compensation after sensory loss, especially hearing loss. In a strong collaboration with the ENT Department of the CHU Purpan, we are focusing on auditory recovery after cochlear implantation. I am currently directing the GDR CNRS GRAEC (Groupement de Recherche en Audiologie Expérimentale et Clinique) and I am an elected member of the CNRS commission Brain Cognition and Behavior.
